Sena backs PC on migrants

Shiv Sena revived its demand to introduce a permit system at least for entry into Delhi and Mumbai.

Coming in support of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram over his remarks on migrants aggravating the law and order problem in the national capital,the Shiv Sena on Tuesday revived its demand to introduce a permit system at least for entry into Delhi and Mumbai. Referring to a popular dance number,the party said the minister should dance to the tune of Delhi badnam hui,darling tere liyeAt a function in Delhi on Monday,the Home Minister had said there was a large number of unauthorised colonies and migrants living in them carry out a kind of behaviour which is unacceptable in any modern society. He later expressed dismay over controversy arising out of his remark and said he was withdrawing it.What we have been saying for all these years about Mumbai,Chidambaram has said the same thing about Delhi, the editorial in Saamna said on Tuesday. The Sena demanded that the permit system be introduced at least for Mumbai and Delhi.
