Satyan Anthikkad,the maker of many notable and popular films in Malayalam,has this habit of naming his film mostly
after he is halfway through with the shoot. The fact is that the name,which he never thinks of in the initial stages of the making,always evolves out of the theme. This is the case with his new film too,which has Mohanlal,Padmapriya and veteran actress Sheela in key roles.
Satyan Anthikkad has decided to name the film Snehaveedu,in keeping with the mood of the narrative. The film tells the story of the attachment between the mother and her only son and has Mohanlal acting with veteran actress Sheela for the first time in his career. Innocent,Mamookoya,KPAC Lalitha,who are all Satyan Anthikkad regulars,play key roles. Snehaveedu is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirwad Cinemas.
