My son next target,says Awlaki father
LONDON: With Osama bin Laden eliminated,the father of Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki fears the US is now after his son who is the spiritual leader of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Anwar al-Awlaki,40,was born in the US but is in Yemen. There are three drones which hover above my village 24 hours a day8230; its the Americans, Nasser al-Awlaki,the father,was quoted as saying by the Guardian. He said his son is not a leader,hes just a man with strong views and a big mouth.
Zawahiri best option: Qaeda commander
DUBAI: Al-qaedas top leader Ayman al-Zawahiri is the best candidate to succeed groups slain chief Osama bin Laden,whose death will boost Jihad,a top commander of the terror outfit said. Al-Zawahiri is the best candidate to take over. All wings of al-Qaeda would approve of him, said Rashad Mohammad Ismail,widely known as Abu Al-Fida,a top commander of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula AQAP.
