Pearson Clinical Assessment conducts training workshop on Dyslexia to help teachers and special educators identify children affected by dyslexia- the most common type of learning disability that afflicts around 5 – 10 % of children.
This day-long workshop aims to educate participants on the characteristic features of dyslexia, and provide training in the administration and interpretation of two flagship psychological tests from Pearson Clinical Assessment: The Ravens Progressive Matrices and Vocabulary Scales and the Dyslexia Screening Test (DST).
The Ravens Progressive Matrices and Vocabulary Scales is one of the most widely used tests in India and around the world for testing a childs intellectual capabilities. DST is used to identify children who are at risk for dyslexia. It enables early identification of dyslexia symptoms,so that it is possible to provide the child with a supportive academic environment and special education.
Through this workshop participants will be able to interpret the results of the Ravens test and the Dyslexia test together to determine the whether the child is at risk for Dyslexia.
Pearson Clinical Assessment aims to help teachers, special educators and,in general, mental health professionals across India in identifying dyslexia among school-going children.
