The Vigilance court, which is hearing the palmolein corruption case,on Thursday issued notice to government chief whip P C George to appear before the court with regard to his criticism against the judge who had ordered further investigation to ascertain the role Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the case.
Acting upon a petition filed by C Balachandran who alleged contempt of court against George,Vigilance Judge P K Haneefa asked the Kerala Congress (M) leader to appear before the court on October 18.
George had raised serious allegations against the judge who ordered further probe. Reacting to the court notice,George said,I would address the issue legally. If there was an iota of contempt of court in what I said against the judge,I am ready to face the music.
