YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy,who was admitted to a government hospital here following a five-day long indefinite fast,continued to refuse to be put on intravenous fluids,doctors said.
The sugar levels of Reddy have come down,keytone bodies in urine are high and heart rate is low,they said. However,he continued to refuse to be put on intravenous fluids,they said,adding that the fasting may lead to damage to the organs.
He was explained the situation and the need to accept intravenous fluids. On Thursday night,police shifted Jaganmohan Reddy from the Chanchalguda jail to the Osmania General Hospital amid heavy security. The doctors said he has agreed to accept medical intervention if such a need arose. The jailed Kadapa MP,who has been lodged at the Chanchalguda Central Prison since May last year after his arrest by the CBI on corruption charges,launched an indefinite fast last Sunday.
