On a well beaten track

Ministers of State in the Railways have,in the past,fared better than counterparts in other ministries given the fact that they could always push for projects and railway works in their respective states. So,within days of assuming office,MoS E Ahamed’s office came up with a detailed list pertaining to Kerala-specific railway projects the minister wanted to be included in the forthcoming Rail Budget. The list included works ranging from new rail lines,doublings,and construction of railway overbridges. Aware of the fact that not much time is left for preparing this year’s Rail Budget,Ahamed’s office was last heard to be hard at work to finish the task.
