No post-retirement blues

It is common knowledge that top IAS and IFS officers never really retire as they get one or the other post-retirement assignments. In a new trend,the Minority Ministry decided to give the post of consultant to one of its officials who retired as joint secretary only last month. Interestingly,the proposal to appoint Sujit Datta as a consultant in the ministry was sent by the administrative wing,which he was heading,while he was still in service. It is imperative that the proposal is seen by the department head Datta before it is forwarded to the Secretary for approval.
