Nissan sales up nearly three-fold in March

Nissan Motor reported its highest ever monthly sales at 5,880 units in March.

Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) today reported its highest ever monthly sales at 5,880 units in March,registering a jump of nearly three-fold.

In the corresponding month of 2011,the company had sold a total of 2,101 units,NMIPL said in a statement.

The company’s previous monthly highest stood at 5,371 units in February 2012,it added.

“Breaking the 5,000-sales mark after just 20 months of operation,and repeating the feat for three successive months is a milestone in our continuing development in what is one of Nissan’s most strategically important markets,” NMIPL Managing Director Ishida Takayuki said.

Nizamuddin had complained about racial discrimination and harassment before quitting his job. His father has requested assistance in bringing his son's body back home.
