Nissan Motor India Aug sales to 1,249 units

In the same month last year the company sold a total of 22 units only.

Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) said it has registered total sales of 1,249 units in August 2010,with its newly-launched compact car Micra clocking 1,182 units.

In the same month last year the company sold a total of 22 units only,NMIPL said in a statement.

The company had started nationwide sales of the Micra on July 15 and has sold 928 units in the starting month,it added.

“Out of the remaining,Teana,the luxury sedan (CBU) clocked 21 units and X-trail — the lifestyle SUV (CBU) registered sales of 44 units,” the statement said.

The company also sold 2 units of its sports car 370Z in Aug 2010.

The Micra,which was opened for bookings prior to its launch in July,has till date received about 3,600 bookings,the statement said.

With a one-way ticket to India and a heart set on change, Divya arrived in Rishikesh, the spiritual capital by the Ganga, to begin her new life as a meditation coach. In a short Instagram video, Divya documented her journey, from boarding her flight to Dehradun to settling into a simple ashram room that she now calls home for the next 30 days. The space, bare yet serene, symbolises her commitment to “living, learning, and unlearning”. Sharing her motivation behind the move, Divya wrote that meditation had completely transformed her outlook on life. “It helped me see myself and manifest the life of my dreams. I thought, what if I could teach others to do it too? So here I am to become a certified meditation coach,” she wrote in her video.
