Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala has accused former prince Paras of attempting to shoot her daugther and son-in-law in a jungle resort in Chitwan, about 200 km southwest of the capital.

Koirala, presently in Bangkok, called Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Sunday and reported the incident that allegedly took place on Friday evening.

Home Minister Bhim Rawal, who was instructed by the Prime Minister to arrest Paras immediately,is believed to have assured the latter that he would have the incident probed, but refused to arrest the former prince as no formal complaint had been lodged yet.
