Respect for reporters

Rani Mukerji, who plays a crime reporter in No One Killed Jessica, is of the opinion that one should respect and salute the profession. She,in fact, found the job of a crime reporter risky and difficult. When we see crime reporters on TV we do not understand how difficult and risky their work is. I think in a day-to-day life, crime reporting is more risky as they are unaware of what assignment they would go for. They go to weird and dangerous places. Especially for girls, for whom it is tougher, Rani said.

No One Killed Jessica is based on the story of model Jessica Lall who was shot dead in 1999 by Manu Sharma, son of a Haryana politician,in a Delhi nightclub. The actress feels that through her character in the film, people will respect reporters for the kind of job they do.

It is very fascinating profession where the basic job requirement is to be fearless and brave and she was happy to portray the character. At a time when people are concerned about their own lives and care for no one, everyone stood up for a girl whom they dont know. It showed that people of India are together in their fight for injustice.

A learning experience

Shazahn Padamsee is all set to reveal her on-screen chemistry with veteran actor Ajay Devgn in her upcoming flick Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji.

Ask her about the experience of working opposite such an experience actor and she quips, Very few girls of my age get such opportunities to work with superstars. I got to learn a lot from him,I mean acting is just not about portraying your character but also the reactions that you give for every word, and the elements happening in the scene. He is one such intense actor,a know-it-all. I was being a sponge on sets, absorbing all the good things around me.

It is very rare that one gets to see the real side of Ajay Devgn. When he is with his friends or on the sets of a film,he is full of fun and quick to pull peoples legs. But when he is with his family,he is a complete family man.

Recently at the promotion of their Toonpur Ka Superrhero,Kajol tripped and had a very bad fall. She was wearing very high heels and missed a step. Her husband, who was busy giving interviews, was very concerned and went across to her. The actress took it graciously and laughed,It is a good sign that the film will be a hit.

The couple ,then sat together to chat with the press before Kajol had to rush home as her little son Yug had woken up and needed her attention.
