May back no-trust vote against UPA,says Sharad Yadav

A day after sharing the stage with Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee who warned the UPA government that her party could move a no-trust motion against it

A day after sharing the stage with Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee who warned the UPA government that her party could move a no-trust motion against it,JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav said on Tuesday that his party could support such a motion.

“We are not focussed on ousting the government, but if it is falling anyway,we will definitely give it a push,” he said. “NDA will not bring a no-confidence motion but if anybody else brings it,we will weigh the option and decide. After all the biggest blow can come only from NDA side,” said Yadav, who is also the NDA convenor.

Dismissing talk of a federal front,Yadav said any alternative to the ruling UPA had to be anchored to “an axis”. “There are three alliances right now — UPA,NDA and Left. While Congress is the axis of UPA,BJP is the axis of NDA. In the Left Front,CPI(M) is the axis. That’s it,” he added.
