A Lt Col posted in Rajasthan is in the dock over an alleged unauthorised contact over the Internet with a Bangladeshi woman who is suspected to be an ISI agent. The officer, identified as Lt Col Sanjay Shandilya,is facing a court of inquiry (CoI) for establishing contact with the woman over social networking websites,in a breach of service rules.

Sources said that the inquiry was ordered after chat sessions between the officer and the woman were intercepted by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) that was tracking the Bangladesh national. The woman is suspected to be the same agent who honey trapped an Indian Army officer in Bangladesh last year and tried to blackmail him into passing sensitive information.

“The inquiry was ordered after the IB noticed that the officer was regularly in touch with the Bangladeshi woman on Facebook and was chatting with her,” sources said.
