Lashkar commander held in J&K

They said a joint team of Army and police officials detained Manzoor Ahmed alias Shams Bhai from Pattan town.

The Army on Monday claimed to have achieved a major breakthrough with the arrest of a top Lashkar commander who was chief coordinator of operations from north Kashmir’s Pattan town.

They said a joint team of Army and police officials detained Manzoor Ahmed alias Shams Bhai from Pattan town. Sources said the commander was arrested from his hideout and has been taken to the Special Operations Group headquarters in Srinagar where police and intelligence officials will interrogate him about Lashkar’s operations.
