High court stays order against Lokayukta’s son

The Madhya Pradesh HC has stayed the operation of Indore JMFC Court’s order directing the police to file an FIR against Lokayukta P P Naolekar’s son Siddharth Naolekar and others in a case of alleged cheating by a real estate firm. Challenging the August 22 order in the Indore bench,Emaar MGF,the company which is developing a real-estate project near Indore airport,argued that the plot-seekers had been explained everything at the time of purchase. Lawyer hacked to death in public

Chandigarh: A land dispute in Fatehabad,Haryana,took an ugly turn Saturday when a group of people slaughtered the lawyer of their rivals in full public view. S K Bansal bled to death while his assailants,brandishing swords,escaped. Police said Bansal had contested the land dispute case on behalf of a resident of Bhattukalan. The dispute over the land had dragged on for several years before a Fatehabad court ordered its auction. Police have booked Vijay Kumar,Ravi,their relative Anil Kumar and friends Satbir,Shankar Lal and Suresh Kumar for murder. No arrests have been made yet.

YSR Cong chief Jagan put on IV fluids

Hyderabad: YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy,who is on a hunger strike against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh,was on Saturday put on intravenous fluids after some of his vital parameters,including blood pressure and glucose levels,dropped,authorities at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) said. According to a senior YSRC leader,Jagan had to be administered the IV forcefully as he refused treatment and vowed to remain on fast.

HC extends Chautala’s interim bail by a week

New Delhi: The interim bail granted to former Haryana CM Om Prakash Chautala has been extended by Delhi High Court for another week after an AIIMS medical board filed its fresh report on his health condition. The court had earlier taken note of his plea that despite his successful pacemaker implant surgery,he needed constant medical help for various age-related issues and his interim bail should be extended for another three months.
