Giving respite to nearly 4,000 students, who have enrolled in BEd courses, the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court today directed that their education should not be stopped in absence of fee receipt.

While issuing the order, the bench comprising Justice Umanath Singh and Justice B K Singh issued notices to all the BEd colleges in the state directing them to file their replies through affidavits in the second week of December.

On September 28 the university had cancelled admission of nearly 4,000 students as they failed to furnish fee receipts.

The court in its order stated that education of students who have not received fee confirmation receipts should not be disturbed.
