More trouble is in store for former West Bengal CPM minister Sushanta Ghosh arrested recently in connection with the discovery of human skeletons near his house in Garbeta as he and two other senior leaders of the party in East and West Midnapore district are now under the scanner in a similar case.
Ghosh,West Midnapore district committee secretary Dipak Sarkar,and former MP and East Midnapore committee secretary Lakshman Seth were on Tuesday named in an FIR lodged at the Khejuri police station in East Midnapore district after the discovery of a skeleton on Monday.
Sarkar,Ghosh,Seth and Nurul Islam,then chief executive of Zilla Parishad of undivided Midnapore,now figure as main conspirators in the alleged killing of four TMC leaders in Khejuri way back in 2001.
The latest development took place after a skeleton was dug out from Baratala village in Bhupatinagar police station in East Midnapore on Monday.
After the recovery,the family members of 11 TMC leaders and supporters,who went missing since November 10,2007,during the Nandigram movement,were called to the police station to identify the clothes and the skeletal remains.
Durga Gol,wife of Satyen Gol,and Krishna Majhi,wife of Subal Majhi both TMC leaders who went missing since November 10,2007 visited the police station on Tuesday but could not identify the clothes.
The family members of four TMC leaders who were shot dead on February 24,2001,at Baratala bus stand in Khejuri were then called to identify the skeletons.
