Bihar BJP president C P Thakur on Tuesday said though the NDA alliance in Bihar would remain intact,BJP would be preparing to contest all 40 Lok Sabha seats. Thakur, who was reportedly upset with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar not mentioning NDA or BJP during his ongoing Adhikar Yatra, told The Indian Express: Whenever there is an election,we generally prepare for all seats. But there is no problem with NDA alliance. Asked if BJP was miffed with JD-U leaving out its Bihar alliance partner on special category demand move,Thakur said everybody was free to take out rallies and raise pet issues concerning the state. The state president, however, denied that the central leadership issued any directions regarding 2014 poll preparations. He added that Nitish might well have meant NDA when he said at a recent rally that the next government at Centre could not be formed without 40 Bihar MPs. Thakur also found it difficult to justify a protest rally by BJP Purnia MP Uday Singh, who slammed the state government recently. We may take action against him, he said. On JD-Us behalf, the partys national spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari said JD-U had been also preparing to contest all Lok Sabha seats. Cong not averse to alliance with JD-U New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday claimed the JDU-BJP alliance in Bihar is unlikely to last long and indicated it was not averse to doing business with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar if his ties with BJP snapped. Congress party spokesman Manish Tewari said,Whatever JD-U has been doing for sometime,it is becoming clear that it has to carry the load (of BJP). We do not think that all is well between the load and the one forced to carry it ." PTI
