The audio release for the Shankar-directed Rajnikanth-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Endhiran- The Robot was held on a grand scale in Malaysia. The audio release function was held at the Putrajaya Stadium,Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia on July 31. Attended by the who’s who of the Tamil film industry including Rajnikanth,AR Rahman,Ramya Krishnan,Shriya Saran,Silambarasan and Jayam Ravi besides Sun TV chief Kalanidhi Maran,the event comprised grand speeches delivered by the celebrities,thrilling dance performances,teasers and clippings from the film.

The Mumbai traffic police received a threat message claiming that 34 "human bombs" with 400 kg of RDX have been planted in 34 vehicles for a major blast. The message, allegedly from 'Lashkar-e-Jihadi', also mentioned 14 Pakistani terrorists in India. Security has been heightened and the police are investigating the threat.
