CWG: ‘Accused met Swiss firm officials’

Two of the four accused by the CBI along with Suresh Kalmadi in connection with the Commonwealth Games projects.

Two of the four accused by the CBI along with Suresh Kalmadi in connection with the Commonwealth Games projects,reportedly went to Switzerland after non-bailable warrants were issued against them. All four are absconding.

The owners of Gem International,A K Madan and P D Arya,who reportedly acted as a conduit between Kalmadi and Swiss Timings Ltd are absconding since their names came up during investigations. A Delhi court has now asked the CBI to declare them proclaimed offenders. Sources said that Madan and Arya had gone to Switzerland last month on the pretext of conducting an eye operation on the former. The CBI has learnt that the two reportedly held meetings with officials of Swiss Timings Ltd.

Another accused,M Jeychandran,is also absconding.after he was released on bail. The fourth accused,A K Reddy,is also reportedly absconding.
