“Yes,the 2G scam was there and now the CAG report (on allocation of coal blocks)… but for Congress to say there is no wrongdoing at all,I don’t think that is correct (to say),” he said.

“Don’t shoot the messenger. CAG was right or wrong,its calculation was right or wrong (could be debated)… But don’t say there is no loss,” he added.

When asked for his comments on senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley’s and Finance Minister P Chidambram’s remarks on the controversy of coal blocks allocation,said,”I am not getting into debate. Chidambaram,I hold him in very high regard and Jaitley is a close friend..,” he said.

The Bajaj Group chairman said that he completely agrees with the BJP apprehensions that the debate on the issue,which the ruling UPA is insisting on,would not yield any results,but said a persistent logjam of the proceedings could also result in the House being adjourned sine die by the speaker.

“I agree. What will happen after having discussion. But not letting Parliament function,may be the house will get adjourned,I don’t like it,” Bajaj said.

“BJP,please recognise you are not the government. So let them run the government. Try something else,” he said.
