Congress to brainstorm in Surajkund on Nov 9

The Congress is also planning to hold another brainstorming session with its chief ministers and senior leaders,called Chintan Baithak,soon.

Battered by a string of alleged scams that contributed to the policy paralysis in UPA II,the Congress is seeking to regroup politically and change the public perception about the government by lending its political weight behind its renewed thrust on economic reforms.

The party plans a mega rally in Delhi on November 4 as a show of strength and has decided to hold a brainstorming session,called Samvad Baithak,involving Congress Working Committee members,general secretaries and in-charges of states,and ministers,in Surajkund on November 9.

The Samvad Baithak is being called to discuss the political situation and economic challenges facing the country and to take a review of the implementation of the partys 2009 manifesto. It is an informal meeting, said the partys media department chief Janardan Dwivedi.
