China8217;s main stock index closed up 1.2 per cent at an one-month high on Thursday,boosted by large cap plays with investors seen taking a cautious but an optimistic stance on China8217;s growth outlook.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index finished down at 2,762.1,after a 1.1 per cent fall on Wednesday. It fell 1.6 per cent in the first half of the year.
