The CBI on Monday filed a chargesheet in a special court against former president of Medical Council of India Ketan Desai and five others for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2 crore to grant recognition to Gian Sagar Medical College in Patiala,despite the institution not having requisite infrastructure.
The chargesheet comes more than a year after the sacked administrators arrest in April 2010.

Among others named in the chargesheet are Sukhvinder Singh,vice-chairman of Gian Sagar charitable trust,J P Singh,a middleman,Kanwaljeet Singh,faculty member,N S Bhangoo,owner of the college.
