Former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh on Sunday suggested incumbent Parkash Singh Badal to apply his mind before making any statements following the latters demand that Haryana should pay royalty to the state for using its rivers. Badal should apply his mind to what he is intending to say before proverbially putting his foot in his mouth, Singh said in a statement here.The former CM was reacting to Badals recent demand seeking royalty on use of river waters of Punjab by the neighbouring states. Before making such statements Badal should think of what consequences such a statement would have.
