TEL AVIV: A Palestinian took hostages in the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv Tuesday after shots were fired outside,Israeli police said. Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said,the attacker was Nadim Injaz,a West Bank Palestinian who tried to seek asylum at another embassy four years ago. Channel 2 TV played a recording where the Injaz says,I have two hostages.

KATHMANDU: Nepals Parliament,which has failed to elect a new Prime Minister for over six weeks,got a brief reprieve after the fifth round of election slated for Wednesday was postponed. The House will be adjourned tomorrow for mourning the death of Ram Kumari Yadav,a sitting member,and a fresh date of election will be announced soon after, Lakshman Ghimire,chief whip of the Congress Parliamentary Party said.

Mel Gibson crashes his 110,000 car

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood star Mel Gibson escaped without injuries after crashing his car while on a late night drive in Malibu. The Academy award winning actor who is involved in a court battle with estranged girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva over domestic violence,crashed his 110,000 Maserati,reports celebrity website TMZ. Gibson lost control of his car on the hillside of Malibu Canyon road on Sunday night,according to the California Highway Patrol.
