Mubarak in coma,says lawyer
CAIRO: Hosni Mubaraks lawyer said the ousted Egyptian president has suffered a stroke and is in a coma. However,a doctor at the hospital where Mubarak has been held under arrest denied the report. Farid el-Deeb,Mubaraks lawyer,said Sunday that doctors were working to bring Mubarak back to consciousness.
Syria troops descend on border town
BEIRUT: Syrian troops flown in on helicopters descended on an eastern town near the Iraqi border Sunday where scores of soldiers defected to join the uprising against President Bashar Assad,witnesses said. Residents in al-Boukamal said about 150 soldiers came in helicopters.
DSK slept with others on assault weekend
New York: Former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn slept with three women in the course of a few hours over the weekend of the alleged assault on a maid at a Manhattan hotel,a media report claimed. Le Point magazine quoted a friend of Strauss-Kahns wife Ann Sinclair saying he slept with three women as a last romp before the presidential polls.
Chavez heads to Cuba for chemo
