ED gets Verma,wifes custody NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday allowed the Enforcement Directorate to take into custody Abhishek Verma and his wife for four days to question them for their alleged role in a money laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate produced Verma and his wife Anca Maria Neascu in court after arresting them Wednesday,following which they were remanded to custody till August 27. Lakshya-1 test flown successfully in Orissa BALASORE: The indigenously developed,micro-light,pilot-less target aircraft Lakshya-1 was successfully test-flown from the Integrated Test Range Thursday at Chandipur at 12.15 pm,defence sources said. Seven killed in Tamil Nadu bus accident CHENNAI: Seven persons including a child were crushed to death after a government bus on which they were travelling rammed into a truck in Kancheepuram district on Thursday. The bus was coming towards Chennai from Hosur when the incident took place. Local police officials said about eight of those injured were referred to Chennai for treatment. Chhotu Padda alias Baiju,21,was a platoon commander in North Gadchiroli and Manpur divisions,police said. His wife Karuna Usendi,19,was the deputy commander of Bhamragarh division.
