NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will embark on a visit to Pretoria on Monday to attend the trilateral India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) summit. The fifth IBSA summit of the three leading emerging nations of three different continents will take place on October 18.

Govt to help SBI meet 8% CAR norm: Pranab

TABRIZ (IRAN): Expressing the government’s commitment to recapitalisation of State Bank of India,Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday said that funds would be provided to the PSU lender in order to help it comply with capital adequacy ratio (CAR) norms.

NEW DELHI: With more than 40 laws governing different aspects of labour,the government is mulling consolidating these laws into a few selected categories to reduce multiplicity and disputes in their application. The proposal for consolidation will come up for discussion at the 44th Session of Standing Labour Committee to be held here on Monday.
