The Crime Branch on Thursday arrested the Chief Boat Inspector and a forest employee in connection with the Thekkady boat tragedy. Chief Boat Inspector M Mathews had given the fitness certificate for the ill-fated boat,which experts later found had serious manufacturing defects. Forest employee Prakashan had allowed more passengers.
