BJP appeals parties to back no-confidence motion in AP

"Cong MLAs belonging to Telangana region should support to motion," BJP said.

BJP in Andhra Pradesh today appealed MLAs from different political parties, including the ruling Congress,to support Telugu Desam Party’s no-confidence motion against the state government.

“Now,time has come for the Congress MLAs,belonging to Telangana region,to teach a lesson to their own party, which has double standards on the issue of separate Telangana and is deceiving people of the region. They (MLAs) should support the no-confidence motion,” state party spokesperson NVSS Prabhakar said.

“The Congress MLAs belonging to Telangana region should defy the party whip and support to motion,” he added.

The BJP leader also said that the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP),which was merged with the Congress, had sought election against the ruling Congress government during the last polls.

“Though the party (PRP) was merged with the Congress, the legislators should support the no-confidence as the government has failed on all the fronts,” he said.

Prabhakar pointed out that the YSR party, led by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, has been alleging that the Kiran Kumar Reddy government has not been implementing schemes and programmes launched by the former Chief Minister and his father, late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

“The MLAs of YSR party should expose anti-people and anti-farmer policies of Kiran Kumar Reddy government by supporting the no-confidence motion moved by the Opposition TDP,” he said.
