Bharti Walmart,the joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Walmart,and Delhi Government,launched its second Bharti Walmart Training Centre in New Delhi.
Inaugurated by Sheila Dikshit,Chief Minister of Delhi,the Training Centre aims to bridge the shortage of skilled workers for organized retail and cash-and-carry stores.
Rajan Bharti Mittal,Vice Chairman and MD,Bharti Enterprises said,The retail sector is emerging as a future growth engine of our economy and initiatives like the Bharti Walmart Training Centre will be leading the way in creating skilled talent pool for the sector and supporting job creation.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was also signed today between Bharti Walmart and the Department of Training and Technical Education,Government of Delhi,in presence of Sheila Dikshit,Rajan Bharti Mittal,Vice-Chairman and MD,Bharti Enterprises and Raj Jain,Managing Director and CEO of Bharti Walmart to establish the Bharti Walmart Training Centre in the Capital.
Speaking on the occasion,Raj Jain,Managing Director and CEO,Bharti Walmart Private Limited said,Retail is clearly an area that offers tremendous employment and growth opportunities to the youth,and we are delighted to be a part of this initiative that promises to create a pool of talent for the retail sector. One of the major challenges which Bharti Walmart has faced is acquiring talent that is job-ready with the right customer service mindset and requisite skills set.
