Atulya Mafatlal’s sisters,daughter get anticipatory bail

Atulya's second wife Sheetal had filed a case of harassment against Atulya's sisters and daughter.

A sessions court on Friday granted anticipatory bail to Mafatlal scion Atulya’s two sisters and his daughter in a case of alleged harassment.

Atulya’s sisters Kunti Shah and Gayatri Zaveri and his daughter Marushka approached the sessions court,seeking anticipatory bail after Atulya’s second wife Sheetal had filed a case of harassment against them.

“The court has granted them anticipatory bail in the event of arrest,” said chief public prosecutor Kalpana Chavan.

Issues in the Mafatlal family stirred up after Marushka moved the Magistrate court last month against her stepmother Sheetal. Marushka claimed the Gamdevi police did not register complaints against Sheetal,who allegedly stole several priceless paintings and artifacts from their residence.

Following this,Sheetal registered several complaints alleging harassment by her husband Atulya,who is currently undergoing cancer treatment in London,as well as against his family.

Recently,Atulya’s mother Madhuri Mafatlal also filed a complaint claiming that Sheetal had abused her physically and mentally.
