Army havildar suspected to be involved in Jorhat burglary

The police suspect a havildar attached to an Army intelligence unit in Nagaland in a case of burglary in Jorhat in Upper Assam

The police suspect a havildar attached to an Army intelligence unit in Nagaland in a case of burglary in Jorhat in Upper Assam,in which the miscreants had also taken away a licensed pistol and passport of the businessman in whose house the crime was committed.

“On investigation we have tracked one havildar attached to an Army intelligence unit based at Dimapur under the Army’s 3 Corps jurisdiction who has used one of the stolen cellphones several times,” Jorhat SP Sanjukta Parasar said.

The Army,however,has said details sought from the police of the alleged involvement of some Army personnel are still awaited.
