Knockout starring Sanjay Dutt and Priyadarshans Aakrosh starring Ajay Devgn were locked to release on the same date,October 1. But the actors who are also good friends decided to sort out the issue amongst themselves so that both the movies dont eat into each others box-office collections.
Sanjay,who bonded well with Ajay during the making of All The Best 8211; Fun Begins last year,discussed the issue with him from South Africa where he was shooting. After resolving the matter with their producers,the actors decided that Aakrosh would release on October 1 while Knockout would be shifted to either October 8 or 15.
Sohail Maklai,who is producing the Mani Shankar-directed Knockout said,Sanjay and Ajay are friends and since their films are eagerly awaited they wanted to avoid the clash. They decided mutually to span the release of the films so that the collections were not affected. Knockout would mostly likely release on October 15.
Kumar Mangat is the producer of Aakrosh that also stars Bipasha Basu,Akshaye Khanna and Paresh Rawal. Knockout stars Irrfan and Kangna Ranaut.
