Located on a winding and peaceful Kursi Road,Lucknow and on the outskirts of Kukrail Reserve Forest,from a humble beginning of just six students when it was known as Techno Academic School,Integral University is now one of the premier education institutes of Uttar Pradesh.

The brain child of a group of visionaries and educationalists,Integral University has come a long way since its inception in 1993. The Integral University status was achieved and it started functioning from April 1,2004. It is the first enacted minority university in the country. The President of the Islamic Council for Productive Education,Dr. Saeed-ur-Rahman Azmi and it General Secretary Prof. Syed Waseem Akhtar took over as the first Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University,respectively. The University was recognised by the U.G.C. under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act,1956. Having been unshackled from the fetters of an affiliated institution,the University has continued to grow since 2004. Existing faculties were reorganised and new departments of Science,Pharmacy,Education,Management Studies and Medical Sciences were established. Besides,progressively,a number of new courses were added,including Master level courses in Biotechnology,Industrial Chemistry,Production and Industrial Engineering,Electronics Circuits and Systems,Bioinformatics,Microbiology,Architecture,Pharmacy,Management etc. At the present the University has 10 faculty members and 24 departments. It is running 17 under-graduate courses and 25 post-graduate courses and numerous Ph.D. programmes. The university has taken up the research program on a mass scale in almost all the faculties. At present,224 Ph.D. scholars are enrolled in the university and have already received Ph.D. degrees within a short span of six years.

Inculcating a spirit of confidence,self respect and helping students develop deep insights in academic fields,are the core values of this University. The objectives of the University are innovations in education leading to restructuring of courses,through new methods of teaching and learning,leading to an integral development of the personality. It educates and fosters intellectual enterprise through diverse activities in education,research,training and in consultation with an enduring commitment to excellence.

With national integration,secularism and international understanding as its prime aim it is also bringing Muslim minorities into the mainstream,helping in the overall development of India by imparting modern and scientific education for their upliftment.
