Ribs on the shaft make the light easy to hold,and baffles vent heat that could be built up under ones hand. Because an LED bulb is used as a light source,the two-stage lamp can last up to 72 hours when used in the low 10 lumen setting,and three hours in the very bright 100-lumen position. LEDs use much less energy,so the Rogue 2 model can run on just two AA batteries. The company claims that its aerospace-grade aluminum body is virtually indestructible. Available in three metallic colours including a fluorescent green lanyard for about 43,this unit is,however,does not come cheap.
Small little camcorder
The best-selling mini-camcorder,the 200 Flip UltraHD has 8 gigabytes of built-in flash memory that can store 120 minutes of 720p video. The UltraHDs particular appeal is that it comes with rechargeable AA batteries but also accepts standard AA batteries,which enables users to replace depleted cells in the field without having to recharge. The trade-off? AAs render this Flip a bit bulky at 1.2 inches thick and comparatively chunky at 6 ounces. For those who prefer a snazzier Flip,the 230 MinoHD,which can store 120 minutes of video,is wrapped in a brushed-metal case with nicely rounded corners. It uses an internal lithium-ion battery that allows for a slimmer chassis,only 0.7 inch thick.
MakeMyTrip has become the first travel company in India to offer travellers an estimation of their carbon footprint for a particular journey and the opportunity to offset it by contributing towards aforrestation programmes run under the aegis of GiveIndia in Rajasthan. A thin drive for laptops
Seagate Technologys Momentus Thin drive claims to be the world8217;s thinnest 2.5-inch hard disk drive for ultra-portable and entry-level laptops,high-end netbooks,backup devices and consumer electronics. This could lead to a new breed of thin laptops as the 7mm wafer-thin drive 25 percent slimmer than traditional 9.5mm 2.5-inch laptop hard drives gives manufacturers significantly lower cost-per-gigabyte storage than solid state and 1.8-inch drives.
