Three Maoists were killed in an encounter with anti-Maoist force Special Operations Group and Rayagada district police in a forest area of Rayagada district Friday morning. Rayagada SP Rajesh Pandit said the joint police team came across the Maoist camp during a combing operation inside Tureighat forest near Kirambadunguri village Thursday night. “We had inputs that a group of 10 Maoists from Chhattisgarh-Orissa border were moving around Kashipur block. They had conducted some meetings. Last night our force saw them in the forests and an encounter followed,” he said. ENS
