Manoj Kumar Pandey,one of the main accused in the bomb attack on minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi on July 12,surrendered in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Allahabad on Friday afternoon. Pandey,who carried a reward of Rs one lakh on his head,is the brother-in-law of alleged key conspirator Dilip Mishra.
With his surrender,all accused except Rajesh Pilot,who had allegedly been hired to plan and carry out the explosion,have been arrested. Pilot carries a reward of Rs 2.5 lakh on his head. A total of 10 persons have been arrested so far.
Allahabad DIG Bruj Bhushan told The Indian Express,Manoj Pandey had played a vital role in getting the plan of the attack executed. It was he who had hired Rajesh Pilot.
