Bangalore, July 31: Parvathamma Rajkumar, wife of Dr Rajkumar, today appealed to fans and friends of the matinee idol to maintain peace and not cause unnecessary tension over what had happened.

“Our very invaluable thing (Dr Raj) is with Veerappan. At this moment, we all have to be extremely peaceful and carefully secure his release,” she said adding that any disturbance would do no good to the cause of his safety.

“I myself am calm and composed. I want you all to remain like that. Veerappan conducted himself extremely well with us. I am aware of your immense affection for Rajkumar.” She also appealed to the Press to be restrained in their reportage of events and not to blow anything out of proportion.
