
Gastroenteritis claims one
Gastroenteritis claimed one life in Vatdari village in Pavijetpur taluka on Sunday; this was reportedly the first casualty of a seasonal disease. A team of doctors led by medical officer Vaishali Parmar visited the village on Monday. The source of the disease had yet not been ascertained, taluka panchayat officer Kanubhai Rathwa said. Five other enteritis patients are being treated at the Public Health Centre, Jambugam.
City BJP chief
In keeping with the principle of one person-one post, city BJP chief Bhupendra Lakhawala is likely to vacate his post soon after being made a minister. Party sources say, in the meantime, the search for the new president is on.

Road closed

New garden
Mayor Bharati Vyas will inaugurate on Tuesday a 56,000 sq ft garden laid by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation in Akota Village. The garden has been laid on a land fill site at a cost of Rs 5,07,700.
