
Enron’s former CFO Andrew Fastow was charged with fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy in connection with the company’s multibillion-dollar collapse last year, Deputy Attorney General Larry Thompson announced on Wednesday. Thompson told a news conference the US Government sought the forfeiture and freezing of a total of $37 million derived from illegal activity at Enron by Fastow and his family members.
Fastow was charged with securities fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, money laundering and conspiracy in connection with Enron’s collapse.
