To find whether any of its affiliated colleges is suitable to get the Academic Excellence Awards, 2008, the UP Technical University (UPTU) has constituted a nine-member high-level committee.

In the next stage, another five-member committee will finalise the names of the colleges for the award from the short-listed ones. The university has also directed all its affiliated colleges to submit their performance reports by December 31 for the assessment, which would be done by January, 2009.
