Unutilised assets of state PSUs, forest land, defunct agricultural farms and irrigation land along the canals would be put up on sale to generate additional financial resources once the Mulayam Singh Yadav government approves the proposal floated by the Uttar Pradesh Development Council.

The process of gathering the details of the movable and immovable assets has already begun, with the State Finance Department sending a circular to the government departments asking them to finalise the data pertaining to the assets on or before December 15.
