Cracks in the UNPA became visible: Om Prakash Chautala of the INLD said he was saddened by Mulayam8217;s turnaround and AGP8217;s Brindaban Goswami said his party would vote against the UPA government. 8220;Now for the third consecutive time, they SP want to be insulted,8221; said Chautala. But the TDP preferred to wait and watch. 8220;SP hasn8217;t announced support to Congress yet,8221; said its leader K Yerran Naidu.

8216;VOTE FOR SECULAR FORCES8217;

The SP has called a meeting of its MPs on July 8 to tell them to vote for 8220;secular forces8221; in the event of a trial of strength. Stating that the SP was 8220;committed8221; to secularism, Amar Singh said L K Advani and communal politics were 8220;more dangerous8221; than US President George W Bush.

8216;SEEK TRUST VOTE8217;

BJP8217;s prime ministerial candidate L K Advani demanded that the Govt seek an immediate trust vote before committing itself to any international deal.

8216;TRIED TO TOPPLE8217;

Jaswant Singh admitted that the BJP had plans to topple the UPA Government with the help of UNPA leaders during the presidential elections. Singh said the NDA was ready to extend outside support to any UNPA candidate for prime ministership, in lieu of support to Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

THREAT, ONCE MORE

CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan warned: 8220;If somebody wants to precipitate a crisis, we might have to withdraw support for the government even before the PM returns from Japan.8221;
