While Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar shoots for a motorbike commercial in Mumbai, and steadfastly refuses to answer questions on the controversy he has left behind at home, PCB chief Shaharyar Khan has taken strong exception to Shoaib8217;s decision not to take the field in the Rawalpindi Test against India for an injury which had 8216;8216;no bruising8217;8217;. In an interview with BBC8217;s Hard Talk Pakistan programme, Shaharyar said that an MRI scan proved that Shoaib had no bruising and it was a 8216;8216;very serious matter8217;8217;.

8216;8216;I need an inquiry because the MRI showed that there was no bruising. The doctor himself felt there was no bruising, he had an injury in his wrist. But then not to go out to field was below par. We need to have a medical inquiry in order to see what is correct or not. I am not going to condemn anyone,8217;8217; he said. PTI
