Former MP CM Uma Bharati on Friday asked Karnataka CM N. Dharam Singh ‘‘not to yield to Italian pressure’’. In a letter to him from jail, Bharati wrote: ‘‘Your action of arresting me, and thus pleasing Sonia, may perhaps strengthen your chief ministership but coming generations will not forgive you… You are insulting the Tricolour…apparently to please your italian boss…This (behaviour) reminds me of the days of the freedom struggle when certain Indians went out of their way to please their English masters.”
‘Uma won’t apply for bail’
BELLARY: BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on Friday said Uma Bharati would remain in jail till the Karnataka government withdrew the case.
