For two years, Bollywood producer Alok Shrivastava hid the fact that he had committed a murder. But a routine police investigation into a petty robbery at his residence uncovered the truth. In May, Shrivastava’s Thakur Complex apartment in Kandivli was robbed. The 42-year-old producer suspected it to be the work of an acquaintance Pawan Mishra.
During a routine interrogation, the Samta Nagar police were in for a shock when Mishra revealed that Shrivastava killed his domestic help, Chottu Vishwakarma (22) in 2002.
Shrivastava allegedly suspected that his wife Pinkey (35) had an extra-marital affair with Vishwakarma, a Nepalese immigrant. On August 23, 2002, he dragged Vishwakarma to Bhullar Villa, a bungalow in Malad. The producer had hired it for shooting Aurat Teri Yehi Kahani, a serial aired on DD Metro. Shrivastava assaulted Vishwakarma till he fainted. A little later, the 22-year-old succumbed to his injuries. Shrivastava then summoned Mishra, a tempo driver, and asked him to dump the body in a ravine at Neral.
