BHUBANESWAR, JANUARY 30: The Trinamool Congress on Saturday said it would support the BJD and BJP alliance after the Assembly elections to keep the Congress from forming government.

Addressing newsmen here on Saturday, all-India general secretary of Trinamool Congress Dinesh Trivedi said his party was ready for a post-poll alliance with the BJD-BJP combination. He further said all elected MLAs of the Trinamool Congress would participate in the Government. “Our main aim is to defeat the Congress. Even though the BJD-BJP alliance has turned down our proposal for seat adjustment, we have decided to go along with the JD (U) and Samata Party in this election,” said Trivedi.
